About Collegeflips
Collegeflips provides college students with the ability to obtain local classifieds, educational tools, career advice, news, party photos, events, essays, and much more. We aim to encompass every aspect of college life and capture the interests of every college student. The end result is "Your Resource for Everything College", a place where students can come for all of their college needs.
Registering
Collegeflips is easy to use and is absolutely free! Registration is simple; all that is required is a valid email address. Registering will grant you access to your own user account. Once you are logged in you will have the freedom to post and edit your listings, bookmark listings of interest, view, comment and bookmark your favorite party pictures, track incoming and outgoing messages, and post and download essays and other papers. As a logged in user, you will also have the ability to customize your “Dashboard” page with content that is relevant to you.
Dashboard / My Dashboard
The “Dashboard” is the Collegeflips homepage. When a user signs in, the “Dashboard” becomes “My Dashboard” which provides content that can be customized by going to the Profile tab and selecting the features that you want to be displayed. Other tabs include “Market”, “Essays”, “Bookmarks”, and “Messages”, enabling the user to track incoming and outgoing messages, view bookmarked content, keep track of uploaded and downloaded essays and edit and delete postings to “The Market”. Below are some examples of features that can be used to customize your “Dashboard”.

Weather: You will receive the weather for whichever zip code you registered with. Locations can be added or changed in the “My Profile” section.

Events: We want to make sure you are aware of any events going on in your school or other schools around the country so the events calendar can be placed on the Dashboard page so that you see the latest events every time you visit the site.

Featured Article: Each day, new articles written by our writers are posted to the site. Topics range from politics to college life and we encourage students to submit their articles to us for a chance to be placed in “The Featured Article” section.

What’s The Word: We’ll pull the hottest headlines off the web to keep you in the know! Be caught up on all the latest World Issues, College News, Celeb Gossip, Sports, and more…

Hot Links: A list of websites that we think are cool or helpful to you will be placed under the menu in a section called “Hot Links”. If you would like to suggest a Hot Link please send an email to suggest@collegeflips.com.
The Market
We have worked very hard to offer a classifieds section that is extremely simple to use, and is as aesthetically pleasing as possible. With recognizable icons for browsing through sections and our simplistic three-step posting process, posting to the Market could not be any easier. Be sure to check out our Travel, Housing, Books, and Automotive sections as we have teamed up with some large companies that will be offering special deals to Collegeflips users.
Essay Vault
In this section you can download essays, notes, and tests to help you with your assignments. The Vault is intended to be used as a study aid and not for plagiarism. Here’s how it works… You may browse the vault at your own discretion, and you will have the ability to preview all of its content. If you are interested in seeing the entire paper, you must first contribute a piece of your own work. Once your submission has been accepted you will automatically receive credit towards a free download. The Vault is a student’s only source for college related essays, notes and tests!
Education & Career
This section provides you with the necessary tools to succeed. Whether a high school student looking for the right college, or a college student looking for a career, the Education & Career section provides you with the information you need.
Just For Fun
Party Shots: Every weekend Collegeflips photographers will be visiting campuses around the country snapping shots of you and your friends. These photos will be posted on the website the next day for your own personal enjoyment. Feel free to browse photos from parties and events at your own university, or check out photos from other colleges around the country. If certain photos catch your eye, simply bookmark them to your user account. Leave your cameras at home and let Collegeflips pick up the next round of shots!

Fresh Off The Web: Not everything has to be boring and educational, browse through hundreds of videos, pictures, links, games, and more from all over the web. We will be allowing users to upload their own content shortly.
